Welcome Cubs Fans!

This blog will discuss the 1980s and the baseball card collecting hobby, with a focus on the Chicago Cubs. Contrary to vintage baseball cards, the majority of modern cards are affordable. The various sets will be considerably simpler to obtain. So, with thousands of cards in between, we'll start with 80 Topps and end with 89 Upper Deck. The apex of this period was represented by the Sandberg Rookie of the Year in 1983.

2011 Topps Lineage Platinum Diamond Parallel

Topps' year-long 60th anniversary celebration gets a new product and showcases some of Topps' classic designs while including the autographs and relic cards modern era collectors have come to expect.

Topps Lineage will include on-card autographs in the style of the famed 1952 set, a mini Relic set featuring the 1975 design and much more as a meshing of old and new

The base set will consist of 200 cards with 190 past and present subjects and ten "all-time rookies".
